Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using SinglesAdvocate ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. You must be at least 18 years old to use SinglesAdvocate.

2. How the Service Works

SinglesAdvocate is a dating platform where users ("Singles") create profiles and invite friends ("Advocates") to browse, vet, and vote on potential matches on their behalf. Singles do not see potential matches until both sides' advocate groups approve.

3. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You agree to provide accurate information during registration and to keep your profile information current. You may not create accounts for others or impersonate another person.

4. Advocate Responsibilities

Advocates act on behalf of their single friend. By accepting an advocate role, you agree to act in good faith, evaluate candidates honestly, and respect the confidentiality of the matching process. Advocates must not share private information from the platform (chat conversations, vote details, profile data) outside of the platform.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
• Create fake profiles or misrepresent your identity
• Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to access the Service
• Attempt to circumvent security features, including blind matching protections
• Share explicit, violent, or hateful content
• Solicit money or commercial services from other users
• Use the platform to discriminate based on race, ethnicity, national origin, disability, or other protected characteristics

6. Content and Photos

You retain ownership of content you upload (photos, bio text, etc.). By uploading content, you grant SinglesAdvocate a non-exclusive, worldwide license to display that content within the Service for the purpose of operating the platform. You may delete your content at any time, which will remove it from active display.

7. Privacy and Preferences

Your dating preferences (age range, religion, distance, etc.) are confidential and never shared with other users, including your advocates. They are used solely for server-side filtering. See our Privacy Policy for full details on data handling.

8. Subscriptions and Payments

SinglesAdvocate offers free and paid tiers. Paid subscriptions are billed monthly through our payment processor. You may cancel at any time; access continues through the end of the billing period. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis.

9. Safety and Reporting

SinglesAdvocate is not responsible for the behavior of users during dates or offline interactions. We encourage users to meet in public places for first dates. If you experience harassment or safety concerns, report the user through the platform and contact local authorities if appropriate.

10. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, including but not limited to fake profiles, harassment, and discriminatory behavior. You may delete your account at any time through your settings.

11. Limitation of Liability

SinglesAdvocate is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for the quality of matches, the behavior of other users, or outcomes of dates arranged through the platform. Our maximum liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
